Parents and gramma visited the other day. They we're very pleased with the place and with me. We drank champagne and ate cake and chatted some. When dad finally learned what my major is (it's painting and restoration!!-implied facepalm-) he told me about this Italian private art school/college, run by some Italian artist friend of his. Durr.
I should start learning Italian. So I could maybe go there to continue my paintings/restoration studies when im finished here, at the age of 26.. if all goes well (uf). Well I guess there's no better place to learn such stuff than a laid back but awesome Italian art school in a little Italian town. Or big. I have no idea where it is exactly.
But i love that plan. yay!
Yesterday there was this cool GoldenPaint acrylics workshop at the school. A fun american guy in his fifties told us about the Golden products, the undertones and wet to dry state of acrylics and showed a lot of different products of theirs. My favourite one was this digital ground thingy that you can use to cover up any kind of flat surface (i.e plastic, aluminium foil etc) giving it a transparent porous surface so u can print stuff on it with an inkjet printer and it would stick on perfectly and stay crisp. AEGH. also skins. he taught us how to do skins. I'm so glad I went.
I won a T-shirt! And everyone got an information case with handpainted color-charts and a tiny bag of some Golden products. weeh.
And later that day I answered to a "job ad" mailed to all the students in my school - a request to do a portrait drawing or painting (yaya digipaint!) from a photo reference.
I hope he picks me! I wuaaaaant that commission!
And i should get to school nau, Hertta is waiting.. imsolate
