This seems like a nice noontime for blogging.
Haven't done that for over a month!
My surroundings have changed. First year of Tartu Art College is done! Well almost done.. I still have to do the lectureblog or something for my Basics of Design class. And outdoor painting practice for grading in August. I'll get to the first one someday.. and the latter too, ofcourse.
Sitting in my old room upstairs in my parents most lovable old house in Saaremaa, Kudjape. It's so hot in here all the time.
My plans for the summer include occasional and mostly alcohol-fuelled get-togethers with old friends and aqcuaintances at grassy spots around Kuressaare; and more importantly spending slow days in this room doing my digital art. If there's one thing I wanna get good at it's this.
Finally finished my Major Arcana tarot deck sketches and thinking what to do next. There's tons to do. :3
But it's so goddamn airless and hot here.
Later I should go for a stroll around the town, cashing my change into paper currency and look for a proper swimsuit. Haven't swum (swam?) in 2 years. It used to be my favourite sport.
*Anton just called from the castle clay pit and reminded me that I said I would do some ceramics with them today*
But I'm kinda houselocked at this time cus dad locked all the doors and is hiding away downstairs because some old annoying "friend" called him and said he would drop by XD. Seems like dad would rather not have him do that.
Hahahahah. Good ol' dad.
Last night I sat for a while with him and Borka, the Kuressaare Children's Art School director. And for the first time I found out that my dad went to TAC from year 1975(6?) till 1983. Whoa. We'll he had the 2 years of military service at taht time too but still hehe. He was one of Those students. Good times he said. Always fun to belong to somewhere. And all the social connections he made! He knew at least about 6 courses worth of art students from all the specialities but specially from his own (sculpture) and painting.
Yeah perhaps I wouln't mind spending as many years in that school too. Even tho the last spring grading really cooled down my enthusiasm. I don't think of the place as a lovable school anymore. Mostly because the head of our faculty is painfully chickenbrained and the grading commission rarely makes much sense and gives little feedback I could actually use in further creations.
But no need to be a bitter little turd and I do enjoy the rest the place has to offer. Do not miss it tho. Still don't really get along with my coursemates, because somehow most of the time I enter my socially awkward mode when I interact with them.
But no big loss that.. I wasn't able to get a hang of my former course in the vocational school either. Well not unti the final year anyway.
mhm. ok I'll wrap things up for now and do that quick caricature Pirkko wanted. And see what the day brings next
