Finally I've been forced to pull my feet out beneath my underbelly and get busy!
Once again school has all the attention I can afford along with many sidegigs.
First of all I went to Tallinn last week for 3 days to be assistant stylist helping Stitch style extras for Kerli Kõivs videoshoot for "Army of Love". It was pretty intense and hectic - shooting was outside in an abandoned town close to russian border, the costumes were all white and had a lot of little details that were constantly falling off and it was damn cold! But I'm glad i took part in it. It was interesting and weird and Stitch was really thankful for my help.
Another thing I'm in the middle of is illustrating 4 Estonian folk tales for Tartu town. It's for a Christmas event on town square that lasts from 1-24th December, when everyday one tale is read for children and one matching illustration is revealed on the town hall windows. I've got 4 windows from left on the 3rd floor and less than a week to finish them (1 is done). I'll manage. And I'll even get some moneys out of it! Great stuff.
And there's more! Dad wrote to me a few days back declaring that he and his friend are planning to start publishing a monthly humour magazine in Estonia. He want's me to design the headline logo and start working as an editorial designer first thing next year. So I've started to learn Adobe InDesign and reading a hefty book about editorial design. This is really exciting and probably pretty taxing in terms of time, creativity and nerves. But why the hell not? Sounds crazy enough! I'm willing to give my best.
And even that's not all. My Secret Island wants another music video from Stitch and this time she decided pass most of the making on to bro and me. (last one can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MBVWrv46Lw , has my credits and everything :3) I've no clue when we'll start with it because Ott is about a 100 times busier than yours truly.
Also there's tons of things going on at school - mural drafts, an interior design project, many unfinished oil paintings, portfolio design, interesting new subjects like presentation techinques etc etc etc.
And I have a double portrait pencil commission for Friday.
And the annual Eenet coputer drawin contest (great prizes!) is due in less than a week... So there's a great chance that I'll miss it this year. Which makes me very sad.. . . ..butohwell.
And in other fields.. well.. Life's pretty good.. Only things that bother me a bit is the fact that I see my friends pretty rarely these days (picture above taken in October, when we visited tibu'n'bret. Don't think we've been out with frineds this month yet..) and that i have a goddamn fat stomach.
yep.
