I still keep my new nook-book very close at all times. Starting today with the last chapter of Nietzsche's "Beyond Good and Evil". This book has been a great companion and I like the author more and more. He writes so organically, makes me feel like I'm in the same room with him trying to grasp all his freely flowing thoughts delivered with sharp, yet elegant libra logic. Refreshing.
I'm not sure what book will I pick up next, the choices are many and equally tempting. I'm behind on my reading (bookworm in me was barely awake recent years) and enthusiastic on catching up. Reading is one of the best recreational activities ever. As is sketching/painting.
Haven't gotten much physical work done this holiday break.
Made 4 quick digital portraits from life that came out pretty ok, made some pencil figure sketches and few quick portraits sketches. Attended 3 exhibition openings - at one of which my two recent collages are up - and mulled over new ideas, of which one is pretty solid and i will take to studio soon.
I decided to end my long winter break tomorrow. Already did a small amount of creative work today, to get the vibe on. There's plenty of work to do. I'm sure 2013 will be a good year for me.
